- Automated pre-planning: The integrated algorithm calculates the optimal tour configuration for the tour to consistently minimise empty mileage.
- Customer-specific restrictions: Delivery requirements such as fixed time slots, vehicle types to be used (e.g. single-unit trucks instead of tractor trailers) or maximum clearance heights are stored in the system and automatically checked.
- Real-time ETA & site manager notice: If traffic conditions change, the system recalculates the estimated time of arrival and proactively notifies the site of any delays via e-mail or text message.
Digital document handling & geofencing
- Digital delivery notes: The entire document workflow, from loading at the concrete or gravel plant right through to the site manager’s digital signature on the tablet, is completely paperless.
- Automated status updates via geofencing: As soon as the truck enters the virtual boundary of the construction site, the system automatically sets the status to “Arrived at loading point”. This reduces the workload for drivers and ensures accurate documentation of idle times.
- Immediate readiness for calculation: As the signed proof of delivery is available in the TMS in real time, the invoicing process can be initiated in the office immediately after unloading.
Additional services & automated cost reallocation
- Specialist equipment under control: Additional services such as crane or forklift unloading are scheduled as fixed order components and can subsequently be invoiced and specifically analysed for cost-effectiveness.
- Automatic cost determination: CarLo calculates freight charges, surcharges and service fees in the background during planning, based on tariffs specified in the background.
- Cost reallocation: Expenses and revenues incurred can be allocated to individual tour legs, factories or cost centres.
